Updating the BIOS on a fit-PC2 is generally straightforward. A detailed step by step instruction can be found in the fit-PC2 Wiki. The steps in a nutshell are:

1. Download and extract bios_update.zip and the desired BIOS ROM File.
2. Create a bootable USB stick with the provided image.
3. Boot the fit-PC2 with the USB stick and flash the BIOS.

But writing the provided image (128MBDOS.img) to a USB stick with the software Image Writer (included in the bios_update.zip) on my Windows 7 machine always fails with an “Write I/O error” (I tried two different USB sticks). After some research I found Win32 Disk Imager that enables me to write the image to the USB stick.
